Harinikirakira, breezy and sunbird24,
I have Imed u on meeting up t'row
. Please reply back ...
SO sorry I missed meeting up with you all.
Did you manage to catch the rest?
I tried PM to reply you last night, but realised I need to send it, and somehow I couldn't get my id/pw correct.
The request for a new pw would not be in time, and I couldn't reply you as my DH was using the comp for work the entire night, and I was out the entire day before the RSP briefing.
Once I figure out my pw I will PM you.

There are a few direct buses to Clementi Town Sec from ACS(I).
the journey would probably take about 10 minutes at most.
I'll ask my son if the timing is too rush after 1st week of lessons
and will propose to the teacher a later starting time (say about 3.15pm)if necessary.
If dismissal time of students from other schools is about the same, this will be a common concern. -

Ya lah - wait for u until my fingers swollen (read my PM and u will know why  ) Met up with sunbird24 and breezy - it was really great to meet them in person!!
PM me and maybe we can catch up with u on the parent teacher mtg end Jan. Hope ur DS has settled in ...
We r deciding the CCA selection. DS has been chosen for hockey, but we r worried he may not be able to cope - too strenuous. Any KSPs with older children please help us, if taking sports as a CCA is very hectic.
What abt the UYO - what have u all chosen ? -
Hi harini, I was also in the high tea, as one of the students though!

Got IP ? Got IB ? Got A level ? Got Express ?
Very :? leh ... -
Hi Vitorelax, itβs not like that. If youβre in express, you take the A LEvel exam. If youβre in IP, you take the IBDP exam. They are inter-connected.

Hi, my son is in Year 2 this year. He is taking Canoeing as his CCA, perhaps I can shed a little light so that you can make a informed decision.

The CCA started with 3 times a week from 3pm to 6pm. It was extended to Sat morning from 7am to 10am from April/May last year onwards. So, it is a total of 4 sessions per week. with his UYO on every Friday, I am seeing him home early only once a week. Effectively, his hours out in school is as long as any working person. The same commitment of 4 times weekly is expected throughout June and Nov/Dec holiday with 2 weeks break towards the year-end. I understand that some sports are considered core sports (ie school expects medal in inter-school) and these CCAs require greater time commitments. Having said that, my son is very motivated to go for every session, despite the aches and blisters that he gets. I think the coaches/teachers are doing something right. He has also grown to be much more athletic in this last 1 year.
If your son is taking 3rd language, RSP or MEP, i strongly suggest that you consider sports CCA carefully. There may not be enough time for all these activities.
