If in the event that the child cannot get into a particular school in phase 2C and the school has no more vacancies at Phase 2Cs, is there a possibility to appeal (school or govt those kind of Meet the people's session) or can the child be put on waitlist to transfer in after the results and successful applicants of Phase 2C is announced?

If unsuccessful in P2C, apply for waitlist and at the same time register at a school that has vacancies in P2Cs.

Thanks. I heard of one case when the child could not get into a particular hot school in Phase 2C. The parent enroled the child in another school for 2Cs. In January after school reopened, the grandparent had to send the child to school that was within 1km but further away 20mins walk. The school that the child could not get in was just opposite their house. One day, MP came to visit that particular block the grandparent was living in. Grandmother told MP that she would like her grandchild to be enrol in the school opposite their house but could not ballot in. Heard MP that side wrote letter to that school opposite their house and appealed for them successfully!! The child eventually managed to study in the \"good\" school opposite the grandoarent's place. Wonder what the grandparent told the MP ? She just mentioned that at her old age to walk her grandchild to school, she was very tired and she has leg pain problem.
Was the child on waitlist?

If the child was not on waitlist, maybe coincidentally there were vacancies when the school rec'd the MP's letter.

      Who knows. 🀷

Or maybe one mp letter make the principal of the school take notice at once and action immediately!

Or maybe this mp very important !
Wow! Which hot school is this?

How About the other way round?
Anyone heard of appeal via mp, but still no transfer?

See if can get in Phase 2c, cannot I will try appeal MP. But then must have very solid reason why. I don’t know if it works but I will give it a try if Phase 2c fail for me.

Do share your experience if you have to appeal to MP.

Must get a powerful, heavy weight mp to help you draft the appeal letter. Like in that case you mention, perhaps via genuine compassion ground may work.
