Turning 40 - A pre mid-life crisis????

Pardon my ignorance but does MLC crisis occur because of financial security or advancing age? If that is the case, then maybe exercise or savings may help to cushion it. Sorry I m not very sure of this but hope someone can tell me. My hubby is also over 40 but he don't seems to have this MLC.

my husband had his pre-pre-mid-life crisis way before 40. :!:
suddenly, his wardrobe is full of loud prints T-shirt (he used to don only mono-colour T-shirts) and he starts shopping for me (trying to shave off years off my true age maybe? :idea: )

Yes... I had that happen to be too... it felt like the whole world was crashing around me It was the pot calling the china black.

Actually I think these aunties and uncles grocers are just used to calling everyone "ah jie", "uncle", "brother" etc regardless of whether the other party is younger or older than them. You should actually correct them on the spot if cleary they are older than you and still calling you uncle.

hmm... I did that in my mid thirties... Bit too early for MLC huh? But that was cos a friend who had just turned 40 galvanized a group of us of all ages to blow princely sums on road bikes n do triathlons. After almost 3 years n over 3000km on my bike in different countries I've hung up my bike but my friends are still going strong. Maybe I'm over my MLC now that i've hit the big 4 haha!
