HPPS sets new record, surpassing CH's.
wahhh how come Henry Park suddenly become so hot? I know it's been a popular school, but never know it can be this hot.
I guess Zoe Tay must be very happy now...hahaha. Cuz she & her husband volunteered at Nanyang, but sadly couldn't get in, and ended up putting her son in Henry Park cuz her husband was an ex student. -

Why not? There is a ACSP and ACSJ. Successful brands should be replicated. At the rate condos are coming up in Holland Bukit Timah, there should be a HPJS.cikgoo:
and is the birth rate still low?? what is the govt doing!!
Errr, i thought i counted only18 schools being listed as having TUR of more than 75%, this is less than 10% of the total number of schools (190) available for P1 registration. This merely confirms that the locals have a strong preference for certain popular schools. I am not able to relate this to the birth rate issue and also cannot see what should the govt do? Should they \"open\" branches of popular schools just like franchising such as hpps (east), hpps (central) etc?
Never underestimate the power of marketing and branding. Creative invented the digital music player, Nokia humanized mobile phones, but it is Apple and Samsung who are laughing to the bank. (Samsung learnt very fast) Why create school identities that no one wants?
When Old Man passes, perhaps there can be a LKYPS. It may even surpass HPPS in popularity. -

Maybe it's a cycle kind of thing, that there will be a HOT school every year. Last yr was Rulang and this year is HPPS.SAHM_TAN:

now that phase2A is over and was a close shave for one school… cannot imagine parents had to go thru the balloting process which will be taking place for many schs next week. PV, GRL n clan members in same phase n quite challenging tasks for parents cos some will be standing by at different schs (pved at both schs or pv/clan members at the same time)… All the best to you!!!

When Henry park primary school was interviewed, the school informed reporters that Zoe Tay's son is not studying there. Her husband wasn't an alumni from Henry park :-

Looking at few places left in Fairfield Methodist Primary, high chance will have balloting in P2B. Anyone has idea when the balloting for P2B will be conducted if required?
-
Announcement date for balloting, actual date / time of balloting (if any)
Phase 2b: announce by Thursday 25 July, and ballot on Friday 26 July
Phase 2c: announce by Monday 5 August, and ballot on Tuesday 6 August
Phase 2c supplementary : announce by Monday 19 August, and ballot on Tuesday 20 August
Phase 3 (foreigners): announce by Thursday 29 August, and ballot on Friday 30 August
For balloting :-
Some schools will ballot in the morning, while some in the afternoon.
The school will inform eligible parents - the date, time, venue for balloting.
false information
A child who has been allocated a place in a school based on false information given by the registrant during the primary one registration exercise -
Will be transferred to another school, that still has vacancies. -
