      cherrygal:

No restriction to be put on the waiting list of any school but for any vacancy that becomes available for P1, the priority goes to the PVs who failed at the ballots, then comes those with connections (clans/ church / grassroots) before they consider those from Phase 2C or those who didn't even try balloting (and this is possibly based on distance from home as well).

For transfer, it's usually easier in P2 or P3 coz good results can be used instead of those \"priorities\"...
Thanks for the clarification cherrygal! I'm hoping for the best!

1 question, if done PV , local, eligible for 2B but did not get a place in 2B, will drop to 2C ? so if this child is staying within 1 km, he will go with other 2C kids within 1km or higher priority since PV done by parents. How about if he stay > 1km , will his chance lesser eventhough done PV ?

You won't get any special privilege in Phase 2C even if you had PVed for that school. It's the distance that counts.

Received the confirmation letter yesterday. šŸ˜„

My DS is registered in phase 2A(1) and we received the confirmation letter on Wednesday indicating the Orientation date and time.

U mean this Wed? That's long![/quote]I called ACS Primary last week and the Admin lady told me the letter should reach by end of this week so I was pleasantly surprised to receive it mid-week.

Is there ever a good reason to give up your 2B chance?

Anyone knows how many Parent Volunteers (within 1km) or (1km-2km) have Rulang Primary School accepted and going for the registration for this coming Phase 2B primary one registration on 22 and 23 Jul 2013? I’m going by grassroots route & staying within 1-2km. So trying to gauge my chance ofgetting in. Thanks.

                    very curious.
why a new school the take-up for phase 1, 2A1, 2A2 is zero, but the vacancy for 2B is half less???
                    any1 can help?

                      Total vacancies = 210

Is a new school, thus phase 1, 2a1, 2a2 all zero.

                      After 2a2 :-
Remaining vacancies split & divided by 2. Half go to phase 2b, the other half go to phase 2c.

                      Hence, 2b allocAted 105 seats, 2c another 105 seats.
Total add up to 210, ie. p1 will have 7 classes (30 pupils per class)
