All the CHIJs so full this year! Could it be because Catholicism seems to be the easiest way via 2b? 😞

Yes, I'm quite shock to see the application rather high and there is one more day to go.

CHIJ affiliated to Catholic JC u know? That's why so hot.
Hi, don't think it is bec of catholic JC that parents registered in the CHIJ.

It is not that it is the easiest way but most Catholics would like their kids to be immersed in a Catholic environment. Many non-Catholics also like to choose CHIJs (why ah??) hence the tough fight for places...

I don't think its affiliation to Catholic JC is the reason for its popularity. Nothing to shout about. Most of the better students from the convents do not go to Catholic JC.

Anyway, anyone knows the <1km breakdown for the popular convents?

            Hi all,

Anyone has the breakdown for PHPPS?

Understand from MOE website as of today, there are 42 applicants for 33 vacancies.

            Thanks.

Py85, I’m waiting for 2c for olqp. At least I have a place somewhere else le but I am keen to send to girls’ school and olqp is the only one in the area. U?

Cherrygal, I understand that most Catholics like to go back to catholic schools, but seems like this year’s 2b a bit hotter than previous years? And normally TUR for single gender schools I thought not so much.

In fact , as at today, only st nick is over subscribed. may be Toa Payoh CHIJ as well. Historically , St Nick is alway very popular bec it is branded and Toa Payoh CHIJ is bec of the new HDB flats and condo around it.

In fact, it is the affiliation to the sec school that some parents are looking for.
