I didn't bring my dd1 when I registered in P2B last yr becos I was not sure if there was going to be balloting. I didn't want her to think that she was definitely going to that school. If the was balloting and my number was not selected, I didn't want to explain to her why she couldn't go to that school. I'm a lazy mother in this regard. If I can give less problems to myself I will LOLOLOLOL.

Me too when I registered ds1! But I was abit more 'extreme'. After he balloted n got the space, i brot him down to the school during 2C to tell him that I'm 'registering' him in that school. Wanted ds1 to 'experience' the process...

I just hung ard outside the office space. Hb brot him walk ard the limited area that was open to public... N when he is back... I was like 'mummy's done' n we left... He was so happy with the experience n was like telling everyone I went with mummy to register for school...

      😉

      LOLOL

      佩服,佩服。
Can withdraw online on the 3rd day? As the online registration closed one day earlier.

Any one have idea? I have emailed MOE on this but no reply yet

Please share the reply upon receipt from MOE. Thanks.
Reply from MOE FYI:

We would like to share that parents can only register their child in one school at any particular phase. However, schools will allow parents to withdraw their registration in order for them to register their child in another school.

For children registered via the Primary One Internet System (P1-IS), parents may either withdraw their online registration or proceed to the school (the school which they registered for online) to withdraw their registration.

However, any withdrawal done after 31 July 2013, 4.30 pm can only be done in person at the school they have registered in.

Both parents must login to the system to complete the withdrawal. If the withdrawal is only completed by one parent, the withdrawal is deemed to be incomplete and the child will continue to be registered at the school.

You may wish to know that parents can only submit their online registration once. They will not be able to re-submit their registration again via the P1-IS if they have already submitted it previously. Parents who have already registered at a school but subsequently withdrew their application will not be able to register online.

As such, you may proceed to withdraw your child’s application online by 31 July 2013.

Upon withdrawing your daughter’s application, the database will be updated and you will be able to approach another school on 1 August 2013 to register in person.
now is 29 July 2013.

those of you doing Phase 2C on-line registration -
            start today, 9 am.

            http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/primary-one-internet-system/

I understand that parents can register online but still need to go down to the school on another day to show documentary proof. However, I prefer the traditional way of registering the child in the school. I want to ask if parents can bring along their children when they go down to register and is it advisable to bring the child to the school? What do you think?

I see from your point why you chose not to bring your child along. I think I will still bring my child along. I have to give her positive affirmation that positive thing can happen to her and she can study in the school of her choice if she focuses on her positive thoughts. Time for my husband to turn his negative thoughts into positive affirmations.

                from MOE website:

                The online registration periods are:

                Phase 2C
Starting from 9.00 am on 29 July 2013 to 4.30 pm on 31 July 2013.

It is not 24 hr. It is like when you are registrating personally at the school.

if u were to explain clearly to her the situation, i'm sure she'd understand, and hopefully, if she got a place there, she'd feel a belonging to the school and it'd easier for her to 'graduate' to a big school come p1. 😄

This is very informative that can clear many doubts that a lot of us have. MOE should have put up this info on their website.

Certainly would be interesting if everyone is watching the nos online and suddenly everyone put in a last min 'bid' and the nos. shoot up like crazy!
