Anyone has updates on Rivervale Pri? I’ve tried calling the school but it’s been engaged since morning.

lilychinwc, I have enquired with a school yesterday. If you want to do withdrawal, u must go down to the registered school personally. Only then can you proceed to the school of preference to re-register again. Hope it is correct

            Hi everyone,

Equally stress like any other parents here…

I’m also pending to submit the registration tomorrow.

Anyone care to share on the application status for Radin Mas? Thanks in advance…

              Hi all,

Does anyone have any updates about Feng Shan Primary School?
I tried calling the school to make enquiries, but they are unable to give me any update.

                      Hello,

I'd read an earlier post regarding IC address for the parents, something along the lines of.. \"perhaps one parent's IC reflects one address and other parent has a different address on her IC\". Having some trouble tracking that particular post down to quote from it.

Question being, how does the school apply the IC address criteria? eg. If the Parent (Father) is eyeing PLMGS and the family lives in the house <1km (Lor Ah Soo) from PLMGS and is applying at P2C, and the family having bought/rented another house <1km from CHIJ OLGC with the Mother's IC address reflecting the Serangoon Garden address (CHIJ OLGC being Plan B). Will the Plan A school (PLMGS) use the Lorong Ah Soo address as it is the stipulated address, and hence disregards the Mother's IC address (Serangoon Garden)?

And just before closing of P2C, monitors the chances of balloting at PLMGS and if the odds are not good, quickly applies at CHIJ OLGC using the Mother's address?

Of course, I'm excluding situations where Father and Mother (separated/divorced) actually living in different addresses. That can be a discussion for another day.

                      Thanks.

I was the one who mentioned it because I know of a family where parents have different address. They are not separated, just not living together on weekdays due to work, elderly parents and childcare arrangements. Kids' CC/schools at maternal side but father needs to stay with elderly parents to look after them (one bedridden and the other blind - can't shift house due to blind old folk having problems readjusting to new environment). Thus the different NRIC address.

The address on the child's birthcert is also different as it was the house they already sold away.

The school accepted the application with no questions. The mum used her address to register at a school just next to their house.

Hi, there's an official reply from MOE posted by a parent in 2012 about your question.

                      2012 posting as follow:

                      Question sent to MOE
Suppose a husband's NRIC address is different from his wife's, but both addresses are true and valid. Which address will be accepted for registration? The one nearer to the school?

                      Dear Mr xXx,

Thank you for your email on 28 March 2012.

With regard to your email, we would like to if the address on the parents' NRIC is different, registration will be done using the father's address. If parents wish to use mother's NRIC address, schools are to ascertain the reason for the difference and inform them that their addresses must reflect the place of residence. If the place of residence is the mother's NRIC address, the father is to approach the nearest police station to change the NRIC address.

Should you have any further enquiries, please quote the following reference number: 2012/03/abcdefg when you email us at [email protected].

                      Thank you.

                      Best Regards,
