There were more 2B applicants this year as compared to last year. Wonder why. We chose SMPS cos we didn't want our little girl to be in a pressure cooker but instead to just enjoy growing up in a nurturing environment πŸ˜„

With all the good comments in this thread, including yours.... Am not surprise the take up rate will surge πŸ˜‚

I did some homework by asking friends working in educational institutions abt SMPS and was told about the nurturing environment and the emphasis of good values versus academic results. We understood that we couldn't have the whole cake and eat it. So we agreed that it was more important for our dd to have a strong values foundation to being a wholesome person when she grows up. Everything else can build from there πŸ˜„[/quote]Goldpiggy,
You really do your homework well.

May I know if any mummies here send their gers to SMPS even though they live more than 10kms away? and y? Trying to convince myself that the sch is not too far away for us, living ard 15km away from the sch.

            Hi Klairity,

I'm staying at Woodlands. Dd is p2 this year. My girl enjoys school very much.as for traveling journey wise- we are kinda used to it. The traffic is normally smooth early morning . Dd is very happy studying there. The girls are quite well- behave as far as I know.

                  hi mummies

we just registered our dd via online reg on the 29 july, and we are staying <1km. I wonder they will confirm the online reg than the walk in or they will review everything and confirm those stay <1km, 1-2km and >2km. Kindly advise.

And mummies who send their dd to the student care, how much are the fees during school holiday and whether the school bus pick them up or we have to send them by ourselves?

What time does your DD board the school bus in the morning?

Will the school bus operator arranges such that each student's travelling will be at most 1 hour?

For my case, the school bus operator doesn't come to woodlands area ( coz I thk the demand is low) . However , there is a 4:30pm bus to fetch the students back from school to woodlands .

DH or myself send DD to & back fr school daily . We step out about 6:35am )reach school about 7:05am. If start journey at 6:40 (latest), normally reach school ard 7:15am-7:20am.
