Think of it this way. At least it has been decided and you either get it or don't get it.
Going for interview can be unnerving becos it means the school is not sure what to think of the child yet. the decision will solely depend on how the child performs during interview.
Anyway, may all those going for the interview perform to the best of their ability.

I just called the NUS high school. They have confirmed that the interview is on 12 August 2013 at 3:30 pm to 6 pm. I questioned why the interview is 2.5 hours. The person on the phone commented that there are a lot of students going for interview on that day.

My niece is one of them. I will be there with her coz her parents are working that day. I am the \"most free\" aunt ma..

I haven't checked with my sister on the day & time of the interview yet. Have you been informed by NUSH formally?

These children who have been called up for interview, wondering if they have any Gold, Silver or Bronze award in NMOs or SPSO. If they have one of these awards, then isn’t it obvious that these children are good in Math or Science?

That's what I thought so too because when I spoke to the person in charge of einstein club, he told me they do not conduct interviews for Year 1 DSA, interviews are only for Year 3. Maybe what he meant is for those einstein club kids ... :scratchhead: or maybe they just want to be sure the school is what the applicants really want since it is so specialized ...

Agree... but the feeling of waiting and waiting for the results it still un-nerving... :xedfingers:

We will need parents whose DD or DS who has been called up for interview to confirm if their DS/DD has NMOs or SPSO award.

My good friend's DD is shortlisted for the interview. She has no SPSO award but NMOS honourable mention. I guess the interview is based on the performance during the DSA selection process. :imcool:
