              Hi Kaydenmama,

I've received my pink form yesterday with no orientation date. So I called the school for more info. The school said they will send out another letter in a later date to reconfirm the orientation date. They will also want to meet the parents sometime on Oct to fill up some forms. Mostly, Orientation may falls on mid Nov.
Purchasing of books and uniform will also falls around this period.
This is for NAP. Some other schools' date may varies.

              Hope this help ๐Ÿ™‚

                Hi hi...

I need some advise from some wise mummy & daddy.

My boy have been accepted to my 2nd choice school. It was not easy too as we had to go thru ballot during phrase 2C. I am still very happy as it is also a good school, with affiliation, but 15-20mins with car, and 30-40mins with public bus.

Now I am still pondering if I shld waitlist him in my 1st Choice school which is a popular school and most impt is much nearer to where my kid is staying. We didn't even get a chance to register there as there were already limited sears balloting for P2C >1km.

I did called the school on when I can waitlist but the sch admin said no point doing it as they don't expect parents to pull out. If I insist, I shld only go approach them on end Sept as now they are too busy with all the registrations.

Part of me tell myself to put stay put on my 2nd choice now since has been accepted, despite the distance. I do not want to disrupt my boys routine if he has settle in when school starts, or shld I just try and wait list and see what happens? Anyway, I think chances for popular school is rare ๐Ÿ˜ž

                Dilemma ...

Seems like your 2nd choice school is not bad.
Tell yourself how good it is and forget the 1st choice school.

I feel that kids get our vibes very easily and will affect them in the sense that they feel like they are not in your 'dream school' and they are worth 'less'.

Marymount Convent has 26 applicants vying for 25 vacancies on first day of Phase 2Cs walk in to school register. Marymount Convent confirm need balloting!
Canossa Convent has 36 vacancies but only 21 applicants.

I expect to see the number rise tomorrow as most parents are adopting a wait and see attitude till tomorrow last day in the afternoon at 3pm before they placed their stake at the school of choice.

Unfortunately mcs canโ€™t tell me over the phone the applicants in each distance breakdown.

While it is true that Marymount is oversubscribed, we cannot say if it needs balloting yet.
