Hi, just to find out, what kind of bags do MGS P1 girls use? Do they need to bring many books and files home everyday?

Also, is higher Chinese being offered from P1?

      TIA!
Gals uses regular school bags, mainly backpack of various kind. For P1 not alot of books to bring as those they need in class will mainly be kept in school. School will request for parents to buy a rectangular basket (can be found in daiso or ikea) so that gals can store their misc. items like glue, scissor, colour pencils, crayon etc below their desk hence reduce the number of items to carry to school everyday πŸ˜‚

        Thanks jheng!

My girl is rather petite, and those ergonomic bags are relatively huge. Thus I wonder if she needs a big bag like those.

My daughter received a Dr. Kong's bag as a gift but was too big as she is also petite, I end up buying a smaller backpack for her.

            Hi!

Yes please and thank you for replying πŸ™‚

As you know gymnastics is getting more exposure at the sports council in recent years (with the formation of Singapore Gymnastics) and more schools have been setting up AG and RG units. Was just wondering if there have any talks or interest at all amongst mgs parents in setting up a Rhythmic Gymnastics unit in the near future? Hope not too much to ask!
As you know, Mgs is a full school.

Even mgs secondary section does not offer rhythmic gym -
in her secondary cca. Mgs secondary only have artistic gym, not Rg.

If mgs secondary pupils want to learn Rg, they have to Do it outside on their own, ie. find their own private coach, learn on their own, outside.
When question further why mgs secondary do not intend to set up any Rg team, the school replied that they do not have the Rg facilities. They need to spend $ to set up proper Rg facilities, to ensure safety & security, before allowing pupils to practise. On top of this, they also need to hire an experienced, external Rg coach, from outside, with the necessary, relevant, right skill set. Thus, unless & until the school is prepared to spend $ overcome all these, mgs secondary won't have any Rg team.

Likewise, if mgs primary school parents are interested to form an Rg team, they need to gather how many parents are interested enough for this ccA. If many parents are very keen, need to discuss & consult school - how to set up an Rg training facility for this, inside the school premises ? $$$ is involved, to set up a gymnastic facility. you need to buy the gym practice equipment, the lighting, etc. Safety is also a crucial factor, top consideration. (In case pupils get injured accidentally, during training)

Hello edde! nice to you \"meet\" online πŸ™‚

Hi joavril - yes thankfully there wasn't any balloting this year for p2c - as 38 places for 38 SCs within 1 km. All the best to you next year!
