Mummies/Daddies, how many EL compos and how many CL compos do you ask your DC to write every week?

DS only write EL compo from school. He attends CL compo class so basically one per week. I do not give additional for both languages.

It is the same for my dd. I don't ask her to do additional compos because I wouldn't know how to grade them anyway

Don't worry. My dd also feel she didn't do well for yesterday Chinese oral. It is over. Result is fixed. Worry also no point

It may not be as bad as what u think.

Hi cloudybay, we shd learn to put things down.

DS also felt that he didn't do well for his oral, however, we told him not to think too much about it as marks are already given. Told him that he need to focus on his prelim which is next week. Hence this weekend is no rest for DS :(((

We hope that he will have enuf stamina to brave thru his prelim.

EPL new season has just began and we are giving him a break now to watch.

DS has EL writing class which tries write a compo each week. However I notice they are unable to do that cos brainstorming of ideas can takes up quite a fair bit of time and each lesson is less than 1.5hr

As for his CL, the tuition centre also does one compo weekly. Even with this weekly practice his compo is still around 25-27. Problem is he doesn't like to read at all. Hence both languages are his weakest.

Hi, my P6 dd attends EL and CL CW classes since the beginning of this yr. They don’t write every week. Sometimes once every 2 weeks, sometimes once a mth, it varies. I don’t make her write essays for me. She is a voracious reader. Her English essay scores are usu 36 to 40 marks. Her Chinese essays are around 33 to 36 marks.
