As far as I know, only primary school education is compulsory. Pre school education is not a pre-requisite to primary school education. Having no pre-school education is not a reason to defer registering for p1.

True, preschool education is not a prerequisite for primary school.
But I'm referring to a very specific situation, where a chid (1) was born on 1 Jan; (2) is in K1 in the year he's due to register for p-school. He is eligible to defer registration to the following year, and thus enter P1 with those born in the same year.

Hi LIL_Jade, your friend decided to try their luck at MCS for phase 2C sup?
I do wish her good luck for next Tuesday balloting.
Please please please please inform her to speak up IF she notices the spinner doesnt spin the cage such that the balls inside jumble or move about instead of swaying left right monotonously.

This is because the scoop attached to the cage, WILL only scoop in higher probability of what is in the center portion. So if her ball is to the side, then lower probability to get scooped up.

Yes, paper safer. They can always swirl or shake the box around, turn box upside down, shake real hard !

Balls not safe, unless spinner can control movement of balls rolling around properly.

You are already in phase 2c supp.
                      Ask yrself -
Amongst 3 schools, in your balloting distance range -
Which school has the lowest competitive edge ?
Examine - out of every x kids who participate in ballot, hiw many will be in ?
Take the one that has the lowest competition.

At same time, after this week balloting over, fill up transfer form, put yr kid on waitlist, in that school you desire most, out if these 3.

                        Hi phtthp,

But when the MOE makes decision on the 3 schools, is it based on distance? That is, the applicant that's the nearest will get it first or something? I'm sure there'll be fierce fighting even in this post - 2CS phase?
