Dear RGP Parents, I’m new to this post. I just submitted my PV application form in Aug, for 2016 intake. DD was born in 2009. Does anybody know how long will it take the school to reply, interview or reject?

school will send out letter to all 2014 p1 parents ; where to buy school uniform, list of p1 school textbooks, etc.

you may also visit school website.
it provide info on all the uniform, school bus vendor(s) telephone, etc.

Inside that same letter sent to your house by post -
it inform p1 parents when to buy p1 textbooks, school uniform, school socks, shoes, etc - will also indicate which p1 class (from 1a to 1i) your child has been assigned to. They'll send out this letter, sometime from end September to end October - because Admin very busy processing much pre-p1 admission paperwork now.

Whether got any parents briefing or not, the detailed content inside the letter, will inform you.

meantime, spend your energy focus on more important thing.
Get your child prepared for P1 - to be able to both read AND write.
Reading alone is not sufficient. Child must also be able to write.

English Creative Writing picture composition essay writing will begin in P1 Term 3.
Start from 1 big picture first, slowly moving onto 4 pictures in sequence, one after one.

When RGPS returns to Hillcrest in 2016, does anyone know if it will have an on-site after sch care?

Besides Out-of-the-Box near Coronation Plaza (mentioned here in earlier post) , are there other suitable after sch care?

12.50 pm to 6.30 pm


there will be silent reading in the hall, before pupils enter respective classroom.
Pupils can take out either an English or Chinese storybook, from their school bag, read quietly.

Pupils can only wear white shoes.
No black shoes allowed, in this school.

school will send out Orientation letter to 2014 P1 parents, around that week of 22 October. Inside this letter, it’ll indicate which P1 class your child has been assigned to.
(Total 9 P1 classes, from P 1A to P 1I )
