Before hubs left, he told DD that her school can burn the prelim oral scores for all he cares. There is little point in having prelims to supposedly prepare for the real thing when there are no scores.. no feedback.. no nothing.. prior to the actual exams.

So for the parents and kids, we are virtually in the dark as to how our children's oral kungfu was prior to the oral exams last week.

I still try to keep chanting to myself.. all schools are good schools.. all schools are good schools.. 😞
buds, my dd's chinese teacher's feedback for her oral prelims to her was xx, 还ε₯½. like that got say as good as didn't say anything. πŸ˜†

at this stage, seriously, i don't know whether to pressure or lay off.

Buds, what do you mean by no scores? :?

        No other meaning, babe.

No scores means no scores la, ehmm as in the school normally has scores for every component for EL right? So out of the 30 (total marks), what did DD get.. and what are the areas for her to improve on in greater detail (eg. pronunciation.. or lack of eye contact.. too fidgety.. etc)

        We didn't get anything.

The kids didn't know how they fared or how they are or can do better. 🀷

if it's any consolation, during psle, there will not be any other students other than those taking psle in the school. will definitely be in top form!

          I thought so too.

But he told me there will be other levels attending lessons too.

I also dunno whether he is right.

Ah boy had MA prelim paper today.

Went to play soccer with P5 pupils during recess.

Sat for the next paper and realised he was not in his top form :slapshead:

                Kids, ah :stupid:

                :hugs:

boys will be boys, if it's any consolation, during psle, there will not be any other students other than those taking psle in the school. will definitely be in top form!

if i don't remember wrongly, previous years when psle was on, both of my kids have to do online learning at home. can't be any different for this year. besides, for oral last week, whole school was vacated for them right?

How to have all school are good schools when there is no standard to adhere to? DS' school has never given back scores or feedback on oral from P1-5, except for this year! I was just telling DH that at least this year, we know what DS did right or wrong during prelim oral.
