Jennifer:
if i don't remember wrongly, previous years when psle was on, both of my kids have to do online learning at home. can't be any different for this year. besides, for oral last week, whole school was vacated for them right?icy_mama:
if it's any consolation, during psle, there will not be any other students other than those taking psle in the school. will definitely be in top form!
I thought so too.
But he told me there will be other levels attending lessons too.
I also dunno whether he is right. -
buds:
No lessons for other levels on PSLE exam days.
wah piang.
\"School as usual for all P1 to P5 pupils\" - ah boy just showed me the school letter. -
Jennifer:
omg :yikes: i had better check with my kids later when they come back from school.buds:
Before hubs left, he told DD that her school can burn the prelim oral scores for all he cares. There is little point in having prelims to supposedly prepare for the real thing when there are no scores.. no feedback.. no nothing.. prior to the actual exams.
Buds, what do you mean by no scores? :?
So for the parents and kids, we are virtually in the dark as to how our children's oral kungfu was prior to the oral exams last week.
I still try to keep chanting to myself.. all schools are good schools.. all schools are good schools..
No scores means no scores la, ehmm as in the school normally has scores for every component for EL right? So out of the 30 (total marks), what did DD get.. and what are the areas for her to improve on in greater detail (eg. pronunciation.. or lack of eye contact.. too fidgety.. etc)
We didn't get anything.
The kids didn't know how they fared or how they are or can do better.
Ahhh...different school different practice! How to have all school are good schools when there is no standard to adhere to? DS' school has never given back scores or feedback on oral from P1-5, except for this year! I was just telling DH that at least this year, we know what DS did right or wrong during prelim oral.

That's why.. :roll:ah like that also can?
We were told the prelim oral results with remarks.
Now you understand why I always have to keep chanting the Education Minister's mantra? I am on the school's side all this time but they keep disappointing me. Also DD share fate like me mebbe.. no smooth life.. always outta luck.
DD2 in same school with super teachers. :please: -

I like this quote. Mind if I borrow it ?Jennifer:
I told dd she shows more respect to the teacher than me.
I resolved this respect issue many years ago by telling my children : u can pack up n go live with your teacher.
:hi5:
good one !
