Some mummies are spoiling the market 😢

DS said that some of his classmates started to get home cooked meals for lunch on the days they have supplementary. DS asked me to bring him home cooked meals for lunch too until PSLE is over instead of surfing KSPs the whole morning

Come come. Confess here. Who has been bringing their DCs home cooked meals just because PSLE is nearing? :spank: :heresmyfish:
I hv not thought of this home cooked lunch. Later ah boy comes home, I ask, ok? :rotflmao:

I would like to pack food for DS1 because he does not like the food quality sold in his canteen. However, he declined my offer as he said no classmates do that and he will be embarassed if he brings a lunch box!!

By the way, what are the lunch box that is good to keep for hours, won't spoilt and texture remain as good as just cooked?I can prepare for DS2 who has CCA.

Dd is a super fussy eater who much prefers the lousy junk food she gets in sch to the wholesome ones we prepared at hm :stupid:
She'd be very upset if i started bringing her homecooked food on days that she had to stay back in sch!

Btw, do you go to school just to deliver the lunch? Today I saw some parents (including fathers) brought lunch for the kids.

yes, guilty of that too. i deliver hot, homecooked lunch to school. can even take special orders. i'd usually pack extra for her best friends. then again, i gotta pick up my younger boy in p4 so on the way ma. šŸ˜„

                  Valid reason.

Actually I dropped off lunch for DD1 as well when I had to send DD2 for PM session when they were at their previous school. I didn't have the boys then so I'd use the time to wait for supp to end by catching up on reading. Or get ice-cream nearby. šŸ˜„

It does not make logistic sense to do it now esp since I gotta travel everywhere with the babies on public transport. The waiting and the hassle may not justify the effort.

Yay. Prelims over tomorrow. But now I feel like I'm burnt out. Teachers don't even give a lot of homework...WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME!? šŸ˜ž (Stress finally setting in...)

I wonder if the schools know how lousy the canteen food is. If our kids stay back once a week it is fine. But if stay back several times a week and eat canteen food all the time, very sianz already. I see the teachers going out of the school to have their lunch and they expect the kids to eat there often?

I used to being home cooked food to my kids but due to circumstances I'm not able to do so. So I wake up earlier and prepare lunch for them. Got a good warmer that could keep food warm for about 6 hours. I'm not a good cook but still better than the canteen's food. :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

                        Mummies,

Please advise on how you pack warm food for lunch! Ds2 has allergies and I am wondering how to pack food safely for primary school given our warm weather. His current kindy is air conditioned so food safety is not an issue. We can move this to Tuckshop thread if that is better. šŸ™‚
