Yes my DS told us that the students can follow the parents. I was told we are meeting the FT. -
38daddy:
ya my DS told me that too. But it seems it's just an informal gathering before the talk so I wonder how the teacher can manage all the parents at the same time. I can imagine all the parents are excited and many parents would have questions to ask. Any ex-Sec 1 parent around to share on last year's symposium?poohandtigger:

Out of interest, JustKP - which consortium is ur DS in?My DS brought back a piece of paper entitled : 中一语特课程(算一科目的分数)。 Anyone here knows what is this all about.
Thank you.
I checked with my DS, he doesn't hv this paper.Chirunner:
Understand that all S1 students take HCL.Do all boys do HCL in HCI? Maybe I should ask the school if he's doing HCL or normal Chinese?? Do they even have normal Chinese classes??
Also heard from a staff that those falling behind will be given remedial help.
Shouldn't worry yourself too much at this early stage. -

If the JC1 has started school, then what happen to the batch of JC1 that are coming in using their O Levels ? Will they be in the same class ? They will be in a different program from the present JC1 students who took the IP program ?
Don't know about Hwa Chong, but for your info, I saw at RJC, the JC1s have started school. Very obvious from all the RGS uniforms in the 1st 2 weeks of school year.VitoRelax:
Anyone knows whether the Year5 IP program students are in school now ?
If yes, then when the intake from O Levels come in, how are they gonna catch up ?
If no, that means holiday for Year5 IP students are so long ?
Thanks -
VitoRelax:
No idea, maybe there's some students here that can answer that.

But I think not many would join RJC from outside schools. Not so much vacancy after providing for their own IP students. And I must say that \"missing\" 3 weeks of school cannot be as bad as the 3months as it was in our time. Surely can still catch up, lah! -

a) will have to catch up 3 weeks ? OR
b) they do different program from the existing JC1 that is already in via IP ? OR
c) the existing JC do not come in until 3 weeks later ?
Thanks -
