Juz kaypoh, which area you live as you said your DS takes 1.5 hours to travel each way ?
Thanks
Is it bus from Dunearn Rd at NJC to Newton MRT, then MRT change at Raffles Place, MRT to Simei, then Bus from Simei MRT to Safari ?
Or he use the Express 518 ?
Thanks -

Yeah, he is using Dunearn Rd at NJC to Newton MRT, then MRT change at Raffles Place, MRT to Simei, then Bus from Simei MRT to Safari. 3 of his classmate use this route too. I am checking out your Express 518.Maybe much better. -

Ur boy has to make 3 changes on his current route. Hv u tot abt taking the bus from Bukit Timah Rd to Bugis MRT and continue as before from there?
This way, he cuts down on one change at Raffles MRT and less overall waiting time and longer travelling time in a roundabout way from Newton MRT to Raffles MRT for the change which will pass through Bugis subsequently.
Vito can consider this route too. -

Hi 38daddy,
The 518 is a roundabout express trip, good only when going to school, it stops at Newton MRT then change bus.
But when go back from school, this bus takes too long because it goes thru the busy road of Orchard Rd & Suntec City. Vomit blood !! :x -

Thanks Way2Go,38daddy

But using this route when going back from school to the East, I worry that Bus 170 may not be so frequent. Is 170 packed ?
Do you think this route will be faster than going thru the hassle of changing MRT at Raffles Place ?
If 170 is frequent & no jam, I think this is worth considering ... maybe this option is less tiring ?
Besides 170, any other bus goes from NJC Dunearn Road to Bugis MRT ?
Thanks -
