If your php helper has day off she can go lucky plaza to queue at the banks (PNB etc). There are many php banks there. But the queues are very long if its a weekend day off.

However, my helper told me she'd rather use Ameertech branch near my estate to transfer money to her family thru BDO a/c.

The exchange rates and remittance charges differ across the remittance companies. So you helper may want to check first. Usually they will require the workpermit and you fill in a piece of paper when you remit. Hope this helps.

Need some advice. My Indon maid is pregnant and we intend to send her back next Friday. I already bought the air ticket and get the agent to cancel her work permit on Monday.

The problem is she is not aware of our arrangement. I have a few questions.

1. She will depart at 9 am on Fri. How to break the news.
2. Will AirAsia allow her knowing she is pregnant. I have a doctor memo saying that she is pregnant but never mention the stage. According to her she is in 1.5 months.
3. Do I need to inform MOM first before Friday.

And any other advise, please.

How did your neighbour find out that her maid is pregnant?

She says her maid always go for checkup on her own and usually will come back with receipt but this time don’t know why no receipt but maid says she forgotten to take receipt. After a call to clinic realise maid didn’t go. employer felt uneasy and starts to question maid. She finally admitted and will be going home soon. How she got herself into this mess? I didn’t bother to ask. I have enough of my maid problem to handle, don’t want to know more.

MOM already knew of our problems. They just keep quiet as not to make it as if they have implement a wrong decision for us. Thanks to the weekly off days, more maid will get pregnant. My Indon maid got pregnant by a Bangla worker who she said was very handsome. My friend maid was also found pregnant recently after a few days I told her about my pregnant maid.

Sad to say we are all at the mercy of the maid and MOM.
