Dancepointe Sengkang will be shifting to YCK (@ Jalan Seletar) next Jan 2014. Are you staying nearby? Their teachers - Teacher Mariska and Teacher Ivy are both good.
-
I beg your pardon. Should be @ Jalan Selaseh off Yio Chu Kang road.

yes… quite near, but they only take in at least 3 yrs old right?
-
i m not too sure about their minimum age. maybe you would like to call and double check?

Thx! -
Hi
My daughter is eligible to go for the RAD (Primary) examination. But i have no idea what are the advantages if i were to let her go for it? Heard from another mummy in her ballet school, that there is this DSA thingy.
But what are the schools that accepts ballet for DSA? I am still considering whether to let her go for it.
Hope to get some advise from the mummies here
Thanks in advance. -

Hi. I have just moved to Singapore and staying in East Coast. I am looking for a ballet schools teaching RAD Gr 2 for my daughter. Does anyone have any good schools to recommend nearby ? From what I have found does anyone have any reviews on the following schools?
1) Artiste Quotient
2) nafa
3) sba
Which is better?
Thanks
Only had experienced with sba once when I brought my girl for trial last sun.
I love sba, the professionalism, the spacious waiting space for parents to sit and wait, 3 changing rooms, toilet accessible.
You can call sba, look for yani and she will arrange a trial for your girl.
Trial $21.40. Not sure if it differs at each grade trial but thats what I paid for pre pri trial. After the assessment done, she will call you again after the teacher has provided the feedback to them. On whether your girl is accepted to the sch and at which level.
Aqdance- two mummies I got to know via forum sends their girl there. It's operated by one of ex teacher fr crestar. They produce good dancers. Also one of my choice but had to forego due to location and the traveling.
Nafa- I read somewhere that nafa doesn't send the girls for grading. I can't be sure about this. Didnt call them either.
Given the 3, I would go trial at sba and aq and then decide fr there.
HTH.
Nafa syt sends their girls for rad exams. -

Esp the All Girls sec sch, such as SCGS n MGS and of coz SOTA which offer this route of DSA....
No sec schs will bother to see the primary cert for RAD....
The prerequisite for DSA via Dance requires at least a Grade 5....
Fyi, most who had gotten in have higher than grade 5...or display exceptional talent in dance....
Very intense competition if u are aiming for the above mentioned schs...
So it doesnt mean that if yr child takes up Ballet will def be successful via Dance DSA....
Btw, there is no Ballet CCA in sec sch....
Will be under International dance, Chinese dance or Modern dance ( depends of which sec schs).... -
