BC.. Sorry to read about your DD's injury.. Wishing her a speedy recovery.. :hugs:

Guess you have to put off your 'Head-start to Boarding Program' this school holiday.. You need to take leave from work to take care of DD? Anyone else helping you?

Haha. Me a SAHM lah. That's why I'm grounded. And now it's extra work πŸ˜“
Yeah, dd is spared from the 'HeadStart to Boarding Program' for the time being. Started with DS tho. He has washed toilet & shower room, tried ironing his uniform/pants & polo-shirt. Will add as & when πŸ˜‰

For DD, I'm now digging out all my collections of art & craft one by one. But seems like my kids are quite poor with their hand motor skills & not much interest.

BC.. Is your DD interested in learning a new language? If she is, perhaps this is the \"best\" time to do so?

Popular Bookstores do sell a wide range of foreign languages packs (books + CDs).. Your DD can learn a new language in the comfort of her home.. How about picking up Korean language? You can learn together with her, for your K-Drama enjoyment.. πŸ˜‰

I recall DS1 was very bored after PSLE (2 years ago).. I suggested he learn a new language, and bot the JL pack for him.. He liked it very much.. πŸ˜„

DS is slacking nowadays. Tonight is the second day this week he suddenly remembered that he has to hand in some work tomorrow

I left him alone to settle his work. If he can't finish it then he has to bear the consequences tomorrow  It's time for him to grow up πŸ˜‰

Art and craft projects. Got 2 so far. They also have homework on CIP planning.

Do you mean your DD and classmates play in school compound? DS said last week was SA2 time for P3-P5 so they are not allowed to go out of the class other than recess.

P6s in DS school stay in class or comp lab to play anything they like or work on graduation performance item. No work but class still gets scolded by teacher as before because of the performance item prep.. πŸ˜“

Was at the neighbourhood hairdresser ytd to do rebonding.

The hairdresser has a son who is P5 this year, same sch as my ah boy. Throughout the whole session, the boy was seen to be going out to the neighbouring shops (run by extended family members) and playing with the little cousins although he was supposed to be doing assessment exercises.

The mum had earlier instructed the son to do an assessment books titled IQ Maths. When asked how was the progress, the boy told the mother: these qns are not possible for human beings.

So the mother said: if you dunno how, then go upstairs to get 1 to 1 tutor session.

The boy was very upset: b4 sch exam must go tuition, after sch exam also must go tuition. Holidays also cannot play.

Qn: what is your child’s definition of PLAY?

Ah boy does not agree to the following being PLAY:
                        1. watch TV program
                        2. read a story book
                        3. doing his handicrafts
                        4. going shopping
                        5. outdoor cycling

                        PLAY must be:
                        1. indoor - 2 or more persons board games
                        2. indoor - play computer games
                        3. outdoor ball games
