My DS is in P5 too..So far, he only knows his chinese & english paper 2 + Maths + Science MCQs.

He did badly for Chinese,hoping Oral and Compo will pull his marks up but very unlikely cos Oral n Compo is usually his weakness.
As for the rest, so far okay.
I have not seen the papers, not sure wht the standard is higher for this SA2.

Yes, I hope this exam will be a wake up call and my daughter will not take it so easy.

For P5, formats of normal Chinese SA1 and SA2 should be the same.
But formats of normal Chinese and higher Chinese are not the same.

We need to decide whether to let my son take HMT next year. So, I would like to gauge the level of difficulty of Higher Chinese vis-a-vis Normal Chinese.

Would appreciate it very much if you could help me.

Yes for pri 1, I already had the book list last month.
