These few days, you will see them bring back their files, especially over the weekends. The teachers do allow them to bring back to revise for the coming tests. This is the time when we really need to look closely and thoroughly at their work to know what they have learnt and have not learnt and check with them on their learning and understanding.

I believe you should have received phone calls from P4 Sci. Teacher who feedbacked on how to help the child.

You mean the science teacher will call each parent individually? no such calls yet and test is next Tues!

Yeah boy did not do well though pass… heard that many of his friends did not do well too… many parents panicking already… (including my hubby!)

          Hi!

I had the same experience two years ago. My DD’s result was 60+, below 70. I really got shocked.

Now, of course, you cannot do anything. But, ask your child to revise the worksheets that they had done in school.

After the SA1, they will give extra tuition for those below 70, either stay back in school or during recess time.

Now, my DD’s science improve. The teachers were very good.

By the way, my DD is in TNS, Pr 6, now.

My son told me that he called everyone. Maybe, my son was wrong. Those parents who received calls really need the parents to give attention to the child’s science progress and learning. Should not get too overly anxious for not receiving calls, as supposedly when teachers call, it’s not too good. If the teacher deems that your child really needs your attention, he will get through you by hook or by crook (day and night).

It’s always better when we do not receive the calls. It’s a sign that your child is coping well enough in the system

Hi, ds has just been selected for gep. As dh and I have very little info about gep esp in tao nan (as that would be our first choice of sch), could any kind soul give us some advice on Tao Nan’s GEP program pls? For eg, how many days in a week do they have to stay back for extra/enrichment classes? School workload/projects etc.

With regard to Bicep, does he have to go thru test/interview to be selected? For GEP bicep classes, are they held during curriculum hours or do they have to stay back after school?

Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks very much!

I think there is a BIcep selection interview on the 26th December…for those who pass the Bicep selection test to be held on 12th nov for the current P3 students… If I am not wrong.

Sorry, am not from GEP or Bicep… But these are the info given to all parents.
