Dd don't seems to know...ya, at least now I know already. Thanks.
Actually, if your daughter will be going to 3M/3N, she would have received a latter from HOD MT indicating that Higher Chinese will be taught to students of these two classes and that parents need only purchase the Higher Chinese books. -

So if the students get 297 then lowest is 1 & highest is 3 where use it to apply the SAP Sec School. Looking at the HMT text in which I see would be the extra vocab the kids have to handle.
In your example, yes, but please note that the maximum of three points will be added to the aggregate T-score, not raw score. Higher Chinese points will only be added if your child applies to a SAP school during S1 selection. -

It will be done at end of P5. Your child will find out when he or she receives the report book. Some had to drop Higher Chinese.
Yes, DD is continuing with Higher Chinese. :xedfingers:oasis006:
Your DD must have done very well to be able to continue with HCL. http://media.photobucket.com/user/SonelSA/media/Animations/congratulations.gif.html to you!It will be done at end of P5. Your child will find out when he or she receives the report book. Some had to drop Higher Chinese.

Oh yes! Another question. Will your DD still be in the same class? Does the school \"shuffle\" the students again for P6 class allocation? -

That letter only get parent to buy the HMT textbook stated inside booklist....neither did it state HMT textbook ONLY, nor any clue about no need standard Chinese book. So it sent me an idea that HMT is an additional subject, and its textbook is an add on also. Lucky I saw it here...snow74:

The school year for p6 is so short and now they have to adjust to new classmates and new teachers. I think my girl is going to take a while to get her engines running and this is not helping. -

RMPS is not a SAP school. Hence, HMT is not an additional subject. It's taught during MT lessons for 3M/3N students. Maybe more words to learn (compared to Normal Chinese) but during exams, these students take the Normal Chinese papers. -

:scratchhead: Maybe the school wants to have more specific/targeted teaching?Yup they shuffled them again and I don't understand why. :?

The minimum is 0, if the child fails the Higher Chinese Paper. Hopefully not.titank:

Yes, like what Teh Tarik mentioned, they “shuffled\" the students again for P6 class allocation. DD is still in the same class, some of her close friends move to the next class while some other close friends move back. :grphug: -
So after P4, the M & N are just shuffling all the way until P6.
What about the other classes other than the M &N?
