      Whirlwind:
Hi. My girl got her booklist for P5 today. I see there's a calculator listed. For those in the know: is this something they're actually going to make regular use of in the syllabus, or is it going to be one of those that will turn out to be 'nice to have but not officially needed' kind of things?

Calculator will be used in Math Paper 2. It is required.

Dd don't seems to know...ya, at least now I know already. Thanks.

Actually, if your daughter will be going to 3M/3N, she would have received a latter from HOD MT indicating that Higher Chinese will be taught to students of these two classes and that parents need only purchase the Higher Chinese books.

Concurred with snow74, had initially thought HCL is an add-on. After clarification with the chinese teacher, it's otherwise and we only have to purchase the HCL textbk and activity bk.

Snow74, had your DD received the p3 booklist? My DS hadn't received any booklist. :scratchhead:

            enz cia,

Yup yup, some parents that I know of think like us too...sad to say, not all are aware about the non SAP school don't take HMT as additional subject thingy. 🤷

I can only check with DD when I'm home tonight, but booklists are up in the school website \"Notification\" section already. Hope it helps. 😉

If I am not wrong, GESPS offers HCL to selected group of students from P2 onwards. These students take HCL for their exams, in addition to the Normal Chinese papers. So, I guess it depends on the school. But for RMPS' case, the MT HOD specifically mentioned that all students from P1-P4 take only Normal Chinese for their exams because it was not a SAP school.
