Rebonding

hihi... Lovekidsverymuch, KingRascal, CJS and Maisy
Guess, we need all the help we can get.
Just want to clarify that EPO will not keep our hair black but it will help it to be healthy. I think they only magic to turn our white hair black is to colour or highlight it!!
I used to have jet black hair - but i believe it's due to good genes. My dad had black hair until he turned late 50s, then his hair started to grow white. So, I'm glad that I take after him.
But now, I'm starting to see white hair too
And I'm not even 50s... Like I mentioned, I think I'm peri-menopause, so I believe it's also due to changing hormones and stress!!
For info, the brand that I buy is Efamol EPO. Initially I bought to keep my skin healthy and for hormones balance (it's said to help with mood swings and PMS). However, I later found out that other positive effects include healthy hair and finger nails too.
Btw, the main company Efalex (producing Efamol) also manufactures DHA for kids, Omega 3-6-9 for adults (cholestral, etc). So there's a good range. I buy Efalex for my kids.
It may be slightly expensive (sorry, I can't remember the price now - am not at home so can't check the price), but I have read reviews and testimoninals (online as well as in health magazines) that it is a good brand. So I treat it as an investment for my family's healthy living
You can buy EPO from any pharmacy (Guardian, Watsons...) Sometimes, I wait for Robinsons' members sale to stock up - can enjoy the discounts, mah
ps... come to think of it, our white hair may also be stress-induced. I noticed that I have more white hair in the months leading to my kids' exams. :!: -

Thought I'm the only one so free to be obsessed about hair. Have done rebonding (too poker straight) and soft straight (haiz, doesn't last a month) and now gaipping my hair instead, using a hair iron. Very time-consuming!
I thought I didn't have white hair but during a recent visit, the hairdresser told me, I've a few, at the back of my head.
but no big deal, out of sight out of mind.
I also take efamol epo. My current 2 bottles of 1000mgx30 cost $45 and I take 1 daily.
:? not sure why my male colleague takes it but he sure looks young for his age. -

Have to because hair is one's crowning glory....
My white hair quite smart now, they like to hide underneath...so as long as I don't push up my hair, I am quite safe.....but this is not going to last for long I know....... -
heehee, ks2me. white hair IS serious matter and you still play peek–boo with them.
-
 true hor...still play peek-a-boo... not for long la... I think I need to do regular colour treatment soon or start eating black sesame...

Hi Ladies,
Just wondering when u do colouring, do u just colour the roots (to cover the whites
) or u do a full colouring. I usually colour the roots every 2 -3 mths to prevent dry/damage hair, only do a full colouring half yearly.
What about u? :? -

Yah, agree. Soft straight treatments don't last very long... but from experience, if hair length is below shoulders and I don't tie up my hair, it can last 3-4 months. But, with a shorter hair length now (just above shoulder), I find my soft straight not as long lasting. Hair stylist claims that the longer the hair length, the weight of the hair pulls it down.

Hmmm...didn't know that black sesame helps with keeping hair black. Must try...... start eating black sesame.

erhmm, veri veri pai seh   to share this, but there may be some truth in this. I have been taking EPO for many years (maybe about 10 years already), and I've often been told that I look *cough* *cough* young for my age. Sometimes as much as *ahem* *ahem* 10 years younger.:? not sure why my male colleague takes it but he sure looks young for his age.
(
please... please... don't say i \"how lian\"
)
I figured that it's due to good genes, EPO and being young at heart!! :please: -

I colour my hair half-yearly. Sometimes, it's full colouring or it cd be highlights with base colour, depending on hairstylist mood and recommendation. I seldom do touch-ups in between. Not willing to spend :moneyflies: . Also, my white hair is also \"smart\" like ks2me... hiding underneath! :roll:Hi Ladies,

Hiding underneath! Lucky u & ks2me! I very jealous leh. Mine not that smart - always \"sprouting\" out of my head in the most obvious areas. Imagine someone standing in front while I am seated in a crowded bus/train. That person goes tsk tsk tsk ..... Could it be something to do with my Not-so-smart genes??? OMG :x
