DS said for the same price, the food and drink portion in the canteen is bigger than in his Primary school. He is happy!

I asked my ds why did he just eat chicken rice for his 1st and 2nd day?
DS: Cos it is the cheapest at $1.80 per plate! You only gave me $10.
Me: Alamak! :slapshead: The $10 is only for Thurs & Fri lah. Next week I'll give you $30.
DS:
Btw, $30 per week should be enough right?[/quote
DS also ate chicken rice for 2 days!
The second day he wanted to eat rice with dishes but then he realized he was queuing at the chicken rice stall again :slapshead: Since queues at other stalls have built up, he continued to queue at the chicken rice stall.
Why don't you try whether $30 is enough and adjust it if not enough? 'cos I also don't know
Happy blue bear
your son so cute. I give mine $5 per meal. So if they have trainings I will give $10 per day. That will incl anything they need to get from bookshop If teacher requires. Otherwise they can save the balance. Yes maybe can trial and error? Or ask the experienced mommies here. But so far my boys feedback the food prices are reasonable and portion is adequate so no need second helping, unlike in their pri school. -

Ds said they r from St stephen...blessedmommy:
not from any of these schools, thats why im quite surprised
Many sports talents from the same pri school? Hmm... :scratchhead: SJI Jnr? ACS?
I actually also wonder how the MS kids are distributed. Looks random (ito t-score) but still, there's some 'clustering' amidst the randomness, unlike what nbm said. There're some very high t-scorer in ds's class, I thought they should join the Geppers? Different practice this year? :scratchhead: -

Your boy can bring anything, if its not too big an item that can be squeezed into the bag. My boy rolled up a few t-shirts and used them as pillow, but on the last night, he had no more shirt to roll coz all became Chou-Chou..one silly question. my boys asked if can bring small cushion as pillow for the camp??
as for the dress code for investiture, the boys only need to wear their school uniform right? the tie will be given on that day, I heard?
Yes, the ties will be presented to the boys by the PSLs before the ceremony begins. By the time the parents go into the hall, the boys will all be seated according to their classes (parents too).. And they will be wearing their ties by then, waving & smiling to you.. :imanisland: -

Btw, must learn tips from you how to make your sons so tall :)
my twins are DSA boys. They started training right after PSLE results
i think their height has to do with genes. my hubby's and my family have quite tall genes. my male cousins are at least 1.85m so i guess they follow that pattern as well. the twins do eat lots of calcium rich foods when they were younger, not so much now. also, many boys are late bloomers. many shoot up when they hit puberty! -

Excited parents move around the hall to take photos/videos for their boys, when the form teachers pin the school badge for each boy in his class..
Yes.. You can bring camera/video cam to the ceremony.. Just make sure they are fully-charged..
