Now with the heavy rain, wonder if certain activities (eg. kayaking) will be cancelled ?

Also, the thot of doing the muddy laundry (when DS cones home) makes me wana :faint: ...

no....ds didn't take this phone along. He said all phones will be kept away by someone during the whole OBS training. So no point bringing.

I purposely bought sunblock for this OBS as stated in the pack list - actually not necessary. The weather these days are rainy. @firefly....I'm also expecting muddy laundry :yikes:

Last night DS shared with me me that he hopes his class can win some games during the orientation camp because he heard that the prize is FOOD!

not that I know of, but u can go to the OBS facebook page.. got lots of photos there of students from different schools that went for OBS.

the latest photos are not up yet, but at least u can get an idea of what the place / activities are like..

Any comments fr year 1 Ds on the orientation camp?. My son said it was worse than army camp, very rigorous, only given 2 min to shower etc..N those who brought pillow got confiscated.. Haha, the tough training has toughened him up too

DS's pillow was confiscated He said that they were given 3 minutes to undress, shower, towel dry and put on clothes.


DS said they had to run back and forth from the hall to the field with their backpack and barang-barang at least 5 rounds in order to instill in them sense of urgency. Last week DS said they must stand up and sit down repeatedly if they are not standing up or sitting down fast enough. I think it is good. I support the exercise/penalty for not doing things fast enough. :celebrate:

DS likes the orientation camp. He thinks it is more fun than his P5 camp :boogie: He got to know his classmates better
