      Hi all DHS parents,

My daughter who is in year 2 this year needs help badly in Maths. Appreciate if any of the DHS parents here can recommend any good maths tuition centre/tutor.

      Thanks

      Hi Danny,

My dd faced difficulty in Math until we engaged Ms Elena from Aspire Hub Education to coach her. It helped her greatly.

You may want to google Aspire Hub and call up for a free trial. They have a few branches but Ms Elena teaches in Nex and Bedok branch, not sure about other branch.

All the best to your daughter! :rahrah:

      Hi Yellowbelt,

Appreciate your help. I really need all the help to get my gal maths back on track. I will check Aspire Hub bedok branch.

      best regards

The school is proud of the 2013 Year 6 cohort for their hard work and achievements at the 2013 GCE A-Level Examination!
46% of the cohort achieved at least 3 H2 Distinctions.
61% of the cohort achieved at least 4 Distinctions.
106 Dunmanians achieved at least 6 Distinctions.
44 Dunmanians achieved at least 7 Distinctions.
3 Dunmanians achieved at least 8 Distinctions.
78% of Dunmanians who offered H3 subjects attained Distinction or Merit.
40% of Dunmanians who offered H3 subjects attained Distinctions.

This should finally silence the doubters!

                    ~400 +/- for each Sec 1 intake.

I read from the Straits Times (4 Mar 2014) for the β€˜A’ Levels results:

                      1) Hwa Chong Institution - >60% scored at least 3 A in H2.
                      2) Raffles Institution - >67% scored at least 3 A in H2, 4 had 9 distinctions.
                      3) River Valley School - >16% (or exactly 68/415) scored at least 6 A.

Not really apple-to-apple comparison to DHS since the DHS published results showed number of distinctions instead.

Anyone with more info or comments kindly add on.

Cheers to all the 2013 DHS graduates for doing well in their A Levels! And not forgetting all the parents and guardians for their unwavering support given to their child/ward. Hip hip hooray!!!

At least 3 distinctions in H2 subjects:
                        - RI (67%)
                        - HCI (60%)
                        - VJC (50%)
                        - NJC (48%)
                        - DHS (46%)
                        - TJC (31%) (138 students with 3 H2 distinctions, 109 students with 4 H2 distinctions, assuming cohort size of 800))
                        - RVHS (28%)
                        - AJC (23%) (186 students with at least 3 H2 distinctions, assuming cohort size of 800)
