I used to see Mr. Teo when he operated from Beauty World.

After he moved away, I did not see him anymore as my problem was more or less resolved.

During my treatment, he massaged, pushed, pulled which resulted in a less tighten muscles. The process can be quite painful.

I think I had > 10 sessions with him. Cant remember whether it was twice or once a week.

I was staying with in laws who had a domestic helper then.

Jennifer, did you see a sports massage therapist or a chiropractor?

Han Seo, when my shoulder was frozen a few years back, I looked high and low for chiropractors but in the end saw an orthopedic surgeon. He advised me that it will get better on its own without any intervention. He taught me a few physio exercises I could do at home and I just followed the instructions everyday. The frozen shoulder should got better after a few weeks but the entire recovery process took months. Till this day it is still about 5% stiffer than the other shoulder.

So you can get away without any treatment. I was also worried the chiropractor might do some damage while forcing my arm this direction and that. So in the end I let nature take its course. I am glad I did.

The one thing I did regularly was to swim and I think that helped to a great extend.

Mr. Teo is a TCM physician.

The time I was there, I did not notice medication dispensary. Got a few medicated patches from him.

The treatment I got was TCM tui na, unlike chiropractor who uses equipment to pull/adjust.

I just googled Yin Jin Tang TCM Healthcare and got this link

someone with twist foot pain also went to see him after being recommended by sb in the same forum.

              Hi,

took me nearly half a year of Tui Na and physiotherapy to loosen the muscles and lessen the pain from stretching.
if u wake up to feeling pain around your shoulder blade, pls do try to exercise by rotating your shoulders before you start the day. it got worst for me to the extent i couldnt lift my arm to touch my back above the waist.

MIL had frozen shoulder donkey years ago. Very bad inflammation according to the GP who gave her an anti-inflammation jab and prescribed her muscle relaxant medicine. MIL stopped carrying heavy bags and took up tai qi at the cc.

Now she does not complain abt frozen shoulder.

btw, tui na is really painful cos the physician would try to stretch your arm backwards as far as possible for loosening the affected muscles.

at home, u can apply a hot towel on the affected area to improve the blood circulation and lessen the pain.
in chinese, this is called 五十肩but u dont need to be in your 50s for this lah :).

I was doing accounts for a few years, then a s/w consultant. The many months of data conversion to prepare for year 2000, coupled with patting my toddler at night, caused a lot of pain to my right shoulder.

Whenever I do the rotating exercises, I will hear soft crack sounds. A TCM physician told me, I need to do the exercises daily, despite these sounds, else I will end up with a worse condition.
