JShe overheard one girl saying, \"That's my father's ferrari.\" Another said, \"That's my father's lambo (I don't know how to spell lah)\" Then they started comparing.
You mean both the Ferrari & Lambo arrived together ?

I don't know leh... didn't ask my daughter whether they were in the car park or showing photographs. She didn't care to elaborate and I didn't care enough to ask.

Just glad we didn't feel we have a need to compare. Some people like to drive their condominiums around town, some keep it in their big fat bank accounts, while some invest in condos. To each his own.

I really like SCGS, but didn’t get to go because it’s too far.

The people there are really nice. Compared to MGS (it’s true that they are really rich, and tend to be snobby. A tuition mate in MGS boasted that she had an LV bag, they said "so?" And now she’s not popular).
Most of my friends are from SCGS, they are gentle, ladylike, and intelligent. They also won’t bully you even if you’re fat, like my friends told me. Everyone from there missed their schools, and they do really well at o levels.

I like that. It goes to show that young people know how to handle these things. Better yet, tell that MGS girl that it is not good to boast. Every bag works, not just LV bags, so she knows and learns. She will then have friends as well! πŸ˜„

I do have good frds who studied there and I have taught some gals from SCGS too. No doubt many may come from a well-to-do backgrd, but the impression that I have of SCGS and MGS girls from then till now is that they have good bearing, are intelligent and not at all arrogant. Its the way that they carry themselves (as in mannerisms, posture, verbally etc.., not in terms of bragging about themselves, lest I'm misunderstood πŸ˜‰) that really make them stand out from the crowd. In fact, these frds, with the exception of 2 of them, come from extremely wealthy family backgrd, but they are v v humble and work hard at their jobs.

                      JMHO πŸ˜„

p.s: I am not from either of the above schools πŸ˜„

Now that you mentioned...hmm...maybe Nike? Sec school cannot wear such shoes but once in \"A' level, quickly rushed out to get a pair.

Esprit..and New Balance also dunno their value leh......I must be really so blur... I really dunno what was considered premium during my era...but I think I knew Rolex was some big deal....cos many Ah Peks with gold teeth would wear one...
