I have a girl born in 2010. Mee Toh is >1km from my place but <2km. You looking at Punggol schools also? -
I see…Mee Toh is popular, that’s why gotta try PV. Wish u all the best!
I have one boy only…looking for a good boys’ school that dun need balloting for PVs. Preferably Central or East area, we are willing to move. Sick of West area liao haha. That’s why so kancheong to confirm PV…must go house-hunting too -
I am also getting stressed about my boy who is born in 2010.
I am quite determined to get him into a good co-ed school.
We are definitely moving soon and so now the choice is between a few schools, Henry Park, Nanyang, Tao Nan and Ai Tong.
We are planning on PV for phase 2b, but also hedging our bets on staying within 1km.
Which of the above schools would be best chance for phase 2c?
Many thanks in advance! -
Woohooo…
I am so glad to find this thread. I have a 2010 girl and 2012 boy, am looking for a co-ed school. Have been so stressed over the primary school as both my hb and mine’s no longer exist. -

Shift nearer to that school -
That accept you in as PV.
(Submit PV to all schools you had listed.
Ai Tong come under Hokkien Huay Kuan association, for Phase 2B.
The schools will conduct interview, choose parents) -
Are there any schools that are already open for PV application for 2010 children?
-
This is timely!

thank you. I just mooted the idea of shifting places to increase my chances of getting into MBS.
We are currently 1-2km to MBS and with the school having no PV, and the chance of Phase 2B being v remote, i thought it may make sense to move.
Just shared with a good friend and we both sighed.
We circled MBS tonight and i realised the traffic is really quite bad. There is supposed to be a Student care near the school but i am wondering who will bring the children to the student care? Decisions.... -

ya, just curious why is Northland is better than Chongfu? i have a 2010 girl, hubby old school is northland, but i'm contemplating to put her in Chongfu, which means i need to do volunteer.
Hi sembgal,sembgal:
Consider Northland Pri. Good school, better than Chongfu.
Would you mind sharing why you think Northland is better than Chongfu? I always thought the general notion is Chongfu is the best school in Yishun. -

Northland is another better alternative for children who needs a balance in academic, character building and leadership. Chongfu School has changed principal, think last year change, and the previous principal was better.

It is up to parents to decide if they want Chongfu or not at the end of the day if the brand name matters more to parents. But remember, be prepared to send your child for enrichment or groom your child academically advanced before your child go Chongfu.
Parents will know if their children are academically inclined or not. If in their heart, they know their children are not academically inclined, don't stress the child. One of my friend's child attended MPM enrichment and has to attend Chongfu Math remedial. The Math standard in Chongfu must be very high.
