      Lock:

If they turn out to be smarter than their peers and are able to attain great achievements, that's a bonus. πŸ˜‰
Totally agree with u. :ugogirl: That kind of \"bonus\" will definitely lift our spirits up to cloud 9. I am a PTWM and like u, I am able to decipher the \"hidden message\" behind that body language. :celebrate: to all MUMS.

Even being a FTWM, I have done similar things before, halfway of work, put down everything and rush to school.
it is only somewhat workable if you have only one kid. if you have more than a kid and have to put down work halfway whenever issues arise, it is going to be very stressful for the working mum. hence for working parents, best is to have good family support as grandparents will more likely feedback on such stuff and help follow up than domestic help.

I hope u r just joking, or else might as well don't have children better....can forever be \"pak tor mode\", go for late night movies, clubbing, enjoy couplehood permanently.

Or maybe even better, don't get married, can every week have different boyfriend/girlfriend....

Or even better, don't be born, don't need to work at all LOL

            hehe.

Hi Lock, I feel that the way you handle that suituation of \"giant\", its not a matter of you being SAHM or not. It is more your parenting method and skill. πŸ˜„

I guess, its a matter of proper arrangment, so it doen't matter if its SAHP or FTWP or PTWP, we all can do still do fine in our parenting process. πŸ˜„ :celebrate:
Totally agree with daisyt. And even if I am not the one to pick my kid up if the school were to call to tell me that he/she is sick, I will still follow up and find out if they are really sick when I get home in the evening. And really, if you have been an involved parent, whether or not you are a SAHP, you will be able to detect whether your kid is telling the truth or hedging.

i nearly settled for one because of this reason too.

Yes being a FTWM, I believe this is possible with a family friendly employer who only looks at results and not the hours sitting on your office seat.

In my case, I’ve 3 kids. The teachers would liase with me directly. I recalled that few weeks back, teacher called when I was in US. It was my early morning (I had jetlag so I couldn’t sleep). Apparently my son’s maths workbook was missing. Nevertheless, I coordinated with hubby to ensure that he checks and update the teacher accordingly.

On the part on fierce teachers. I am sure kids along their education path would have met teachers who are fiercer than the others. No offence to homeschooler but I felt that in this instance eg. my son’s case, he has met fair share of fierce teacher and he was able to manage them due to exposure. He just learnt to manage his own behaviour and cope with a fierce teacher. In fact, I congratulated him each time he told me he has a fierce teacher as that means, he will less likely day dream in class.

I agree with daisyt that being a FTWM or SAHM does not matter in this case. We are equally committed parents.

I think this applies to SAHM too.

When you are a mother of 1, then yah, you can drop everything and go to school immediately. But if you have another school going kid attending a different session gotta settle that first right.
