If your youngest child is under the age of 7 years, you and your spouse are each entitled to 6 days of paid childcare leave over a 12-month period.

Hi,
Any one care to share how is Wellington Primary doing with the new Principal - Gary Tsu management?
Please advise… -
Not very active thread. But maybe I just share some information.
The school hours, the student needs to reach school by 7.25am and ends at 1.45pm.
But for upper primary mostly will have another few more days of supplementary classes and remedial classes which would end their school days at around 4pm.
Tuesday morning is CCA.
P1 to P4 only take standard Mother Tongue, only in P5 and P6 will some student be offer higher mother tongue. The student that is selected for higher mother tongue will be selected from P4 result where all subject achieve Band 1. which is like 10% of the cohort will take higher mother tongue only.
The reason is, higher mother tongue maximum only add 3 points to T-score only. So the P prefer the student to spend more time in the standard subjects.
Unofficially the school, at P3 will stream the students, the better result students will be place in 2 apex classes. These 2 classes will have more academic enrichment then the rest of the students.
The in-house student care, Pro-Teach. They don’t have mattress, but the student wont have much chance to sleep anyway.
The typical day.
1.45pm - student after school and report to pro-teach. take attendance and proceed to change and lunch. maybe already 2.30pm
2.30pm - home work
4pm - tea-break
4.30 - assessment, learning spelling and rest and relax till parent pick-up.
but do note, that pro-teach wont actually check their home work is it correct as advise by school not to do it.
any other queries anyone like to know. can ask me, I have 2 kids in this school now. -
Thanks for your info. Appreciate it very much.
If I send my kid at about 7am to school, is it ok? What they will do if reach earlier? -

I think there will be open at 6.45am. what the kid can do, eat breakfast, hang around, play with friends… at 7.20am they will be a bell and all the kids can go to their classes to wait for their teachers to start reading,
their morning assembly will be in their own class, most of the time.
