        Hi Sleepy,
Some of my daughter's teachers uses metronome apps. I have tested them with an actual metronome, and their tempos are consistent. I don't think they are less accurate. They work pretty fine when used during softer practice, sight reading, and with softer instruments like violin. However, their max volume is not loud enough at times. Also I don't want to be disturbed by phone messages and notifications during practice.

In my opinion, this current metronome is the absolute best in the market.
          It's BOSS DB-090 (Dr Beat),

          .
Hi, where can we buy this? And roughly how much would it cost?

          Thank you.

              Hi,
I bought it from Swee Lee (Bras Basah Complex.)
              Cost $180 + $60 for the adaptor.
There is a cheaper adaptor, but it wasn't in stock when I asked for it.

The metronome I mentioned above does tuning using a reference tone only. It doesn't indicate the pitch.

Where to find a good one with a reasonable price if we agree to buy him that type of metronome?

I use this one and recommend this to my students. Very LOUD and durable.

                      Hi, what about the MA-1?

                        Hi fifiyeo

In my opinion tried and tested …NIKKO is good. My students use those.

Yamaha trad metronome is pretty ear piercing.
Cristofori not very good. Even their pianos ahem.

Nikko has a rounder sound compared to the rest. For trad., nikko is good.

For electronic, Metronome apps I recommended Mobile Metronome. I dont even use my trad metronome anymore, I use my metronome app on my samsung. I can interchange tones , cowbells, wood etc and adjust volume.
