SINGAPORE: A 35-year-old man was charged in court on Tuesday (May 27) for giving a false address in order to enrol his daughter in a primary school.

The father, who is self-employed, had submitted the false information to the school principal on July 30, 2013. The information was for Phase 2C of the 2013 Primary One Registration Exercise.

To protect the identity of his daughter, the name of the father and the school located in the central area have not been reproduced.

For the offence, he may face up to a one year prison term or a fine of up to S$5,000.

The man told the court that he intends to plead guilty. The case has been adjourned to June 18.

The father's name appear in Straits Times

              http://www.straitstimes.com/news/singap ... -school-20

              think they publish this -
to serve as a warning to parents, since July registration is round the corner.

              think this school is SCGS
(wonder how the school manage to find out)

But can't help feeling : got double standard treatment from news media
Those primary / sec school tr involved in sex scandal with school pupils -
Media withheld publish their names of sex offenders.

              But this P1 registration :
              News media released the name
