Being a newbie here, maybe I missed the obvious, I was looking through the 2013 stats for MGS:
At the end of P2A, TUR was 62% (~130) taken up, so the remaining 80 seats are for 2B/2C, may I check how the 80 seats are allocated according? Were they predetermined? If so, how?

I noticed it was 20% to 2B and 18% to 2C, I couldn’t quite understand how to work out the P2B: APP - 143 %. Will appreciate if someone could enlighten me.

After P2A2, any remaining places will be split equally between P2B and P2C.

During P2B, some who registered at earlier phases withdrew, hence making available two additional places for this phase. As such, there were 42 places available in P2B. There were 60 applicants for P2B. So, 60/42 = 143%. These 60 included people who stayed more than 1 km away from the school.

After Phase 1, leading the pack with least vacancies (excluding 40 reserved for 2B & 2C) of 44 seats remain are Cedar Primary School and Pasir Ris Primary School.


At 232 is Punggol Green Primary School.
