if the registration is overwhelming, will they accept those who has registered first and those who register later has no chance, even for balloting?

no lah.. I know there are 58 for 2B and 58 for 2C. what i i meant and hope was to see some balance vacancies left at end of 2B to top-up into 2C..

        Now the hope is gone.....

oh .. dont hope on it. Last 2 years, at least 80 applied at P2B.

Rosyth not accept application for over 1km now, those PVs who applied this morning (over 1km) was asking to collect their application back . confirm need ballot for within 1 km.

I think that's a good practice, to let parents know there don't have a chance and they can go register at another school .

          Do all schools practise this?

It is not on a first come first serve basis.

The school knows the breakdown nos (distance) thus might advice those who have no chance even at balloting to try other schools. However if the parent still insist on registering, the school cannot turn him away.

and now you know why Phase 2B is a 2-day event, and Phase 2C is a 3-day event...

Tomorrow last day after 3.30 pm, schools will be more definite of which distance need to ballot, if that school receive overwhelming response.

depending on how popular the school is -
Those staying > 1 km or > 2 km, may be told by school to withdraw, if ballot within 1 km, and quickly rush down to another school to register in time, before close 4.30 pm.

Today can't conclude anything yet, because still got tomorrow.

Tomorrow afternoon after lunch, best to have 2 people on standby, each at different schools.
An extra pair of hands and mouth (help you make enquiries, call you back to provide live status), come in useful.
Be there \"live\", pick up any quick announcement, on the spot.

In that Holland-Bukit Timah GRC -
If GRL are < 1 km eyeing Nanyang, may not be easy to switch to Henry Park, because < 1 km from Nanyang may not be < 1 km from Henry Park, concurrently.

Not sure if got rental or landed houses < 1 km, from both (Nanyang + Henry Park) at the same time.

Who knows the status for P2B at Maris Stella High?

MS has 53 seats left compared to 58 for SJIJ. Traditionally both schools have about 80 parents applying for phase 2B. Expect the figures to be close to SJIJ.

                        Good luck!
