Argh. Thanks Grandmaster...[/quote]You are welcome. I nearly registered my child there last year but thank goodness, I did not as I was there at PLMGS at 3.30pm on the last day of phase 2C. I was told by live update from PLMGS school that 1km to 2km may not get a chance.

Thanks to this live update that I managed to rush down to Marymount Convent in time to register my child for Phase 2C last year and secured a confirmed seat by 4.30pm on last day of Phase 2C.

You have to play by ear on actual, final day. Phase 2C will be exciting.

Oh dear !!! I have secured a spot in IJ (as of today) but I really wanted PLMGS as it is literally next to my house so I was wondering if the near miss last year would be a \"bulls-eye\" this year that could hit me right in the face !!! But if as you said there's live updates from the school, I will monitor closely then... Does that mean I have to call the school or go there myself or is it on their website?

last year (Phase 2C) :-

Bedok Green : SC balloted between 1 to 2 km

are you staying 1 km, from Bedok Green ?
if Yes, you can go ahead to ballot at Temasek primary, because can still fall back on Bedok Green (backup school) under 2C Supp, less than 1 km. Else need to ballot.

but if you're > 2 km from Bedok Green, then no chance to even ballot under 2C Supp

I was in the same situation as you last year. Temasek was within walking distance so much nearer to me. But I still made it to within 1km of Bedok Green. Took my chance and balloted into Temesek with BGPS as back up 2CS plan. Luckily no need to activate backup plan.

Wish you all the best! Temasek is a very good school! My kid loves it and enjoy going to school every day.

yellow color for Bedok Green means balloting for SC within 1 to 2 km
so if you're less than 1 km from Bedok Green, means you don't need to ballot.

but 2011 : under 2C Supp : Bedok Green become a colored red box.
not sure does red box mean SC < 1 km need to ballot, or does it mean PR < 1 km need to ballot. Not clear. I suggest you call up Bedok Green tomorrow, confirm with them under 2C Supp, for past 5 years, do you need to ballot, for SC < 1 km ?

if the school confirm that no need to ballot for past 4 years, means you're safe, because the trend confirm it, since you're < 1 km, from Bedok Green. I presume you're SC ?
if Yes, then go ahead to ballot at Temasek primary first, because you've Bedok Green as safety net backup school in 2C Supp, to catch you.

You really have to gamble on the last day. Either you end up with PLMGS or losing CHIJ OLN. I also went down to OLN last year for live update. When I heard need to ballot, I gave up. I rather go for something more confirm.

So you have to see you can take the gamble. If you withdraw from CHIJ OLN, PLMGS needs balloting within 1km in Phase 2C, you don't get a place, you will end up with nothing. Are you willing to take this big risk??! My advice for you is go to formal waitlist at PLMGS now since you have secured a place in CHIJ OLN and wait for vacancies to arise, maybe in Pri 2 or 3?? I'm not sure. But you have to ask yourself, are you willing to gamble away CHIJ OLN?
