Does MOE update today the applicants who registered online?

I read somewhere on MOE website it says something like updates will be provided on 'each registration day'. But I can't find that message to attach here.... So if today is counted as a registration day, there should be updates this evening.

        Let's see.

Last year, there was no update of applicants on the MOE website after the 1st day of P2C, which is online registration. Not sure will there be changes this year.

Last year, I called my choice school after application close on the 1st day of application to get the total number of kids registered for the day.

I see. Unlikely there will be updates. Already past 10pm now.

            Hi Littleprince,

What it meant is there is 7 spaces left in ATS phase 2c last year and 38 applicants during that phase. Ie 38/7 = 543%

total number of spaces is indeed 330

            Hope this clarifies....
Thanks, irvingoh, for the excellent explanation.

Littleprince, if you are not comfortable with those percentages, just look at the table http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/event/2014-p1-registration-phase-2c. The absolute numbers there should give you a pretty good indication of what to expect this year for each school.

Hi! Anyone know if the updates for number of applicants can be found on line or we have to call the school to find out? Thanks!
              Already past 10.30 pm

If use computer online to register, MOE don't update numbers at end of day.
Only if manual registration go down to school, then update number

                  Wah !

                  http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/event ... n-phase-2c

This year, a lot of schools in Phase 2C -
ESP. Those that are lesser by 20 vacancies or more, tough !
                  Those highlighted in red

May I know how do I interpret this figure from the balloting history? App is 543% for 2c no of school vacancies is 330. How do I read this? 543% X 330 = no of applicants for that phase??

Appreciate if someone could advise. My relative is for 2c tomorrow and I am checking on whether his odds are high. He is SC ,within 1km to ATS and more than 2km to marymount

Hi, just to share that applicants more than 2km away from Marymount Convent did not need to ballot last year for Phase 2C. Those who register for Marymount Convent in Phase 2C last year - ALL got in successfully without the need to ballot.

My friend used Marymount Convent as backup for 2Cs. She was more than 2km from Marymount Convent. She told me it was a traumatic experience to ballot during Phase 2Cs last year as she was more than 2km away. She was lucky in the ballot and manage to secure a vacancy for her child.

My advice: Choose Marymount Convent School as your first choice girls' school in Phase 2C. Confirm can get in based on past statistic history. You can monitor and go down \"look see\" on first 2 days. On the 3rd day of Phase 2C, you must make your decision by Friday afternoon. There are 161 vacancies for Phase 2C so make good use of Phase 2C to enrol your child.

My child has been nurtured both holistically and academically in Marymount Convent School. They have great teachers and good principal and vice-principal leadership. The only factor that pulled me back from registering in Marymount Convent last year was distance factor. My child enjoys her bus ride on the school bus and used the bus journey as bonding time and socializing time with her peers.

With my child's good academic performance, it is easy to seek a transfer to nearby reputable, good schools, which will accept her. But one thing my child has requested for is \"Never send her to another school\" as she loves the friends in this school too much.

The top score was 26x for Marymount Convent last year PSLE. The exact score I'm not too sure. A friend's daughter took the PSLE exam last year and knew about the top PSLE T-score but forgot the exact figure.
                    http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum ... 69&t=65271

I am quite a fussy parent too and I only want the best for my child. Therefore, it was the wisest decision I have ever made to enrol my child in Marymount Convent. I'm not a Catholic but I still chose this school. The mission, vision, values and the niches in Rhythmic Gymnastic and Aesthetics are pulling factors that attract me to the school. The school also has a very active Parent Support Group.

Parents usually communicate through WhatsApp with other parents from same class. This is effective for communication between parents about what is going on in class, what homework for the day, what to bring to school the next day, reminders to revise 听写 and Spelling.

:please: Very pleased with the school.

:udawoman: The most prominent, Indranee Rajah, Senior Minister of State, Ministry for Law and Ministry of Education, was educated at Marymount Convent Primary School, Marymount Convent Secondary School and Raffles Institution, before going on to the National University of Singapore, where she completed a Bachelor of Law (Honours) degree in 1986.
