I will let you drive my car if you pass your driving test.
Once __________________________________________.
My mother reported the matter to the police. My aunt did not report it.
It ___________________________________________________________.
tks
The second one is strange. The best I can come up with is,
It was reported to the police, but my mother, not my aunt, was the one who reported the matter.
Typically, this S&T should have started with
The matter was reported to the police by my mother, not my aunt -

Hi,
Can some experts help with this question–
About an hour into the hike, I heard rustling in the trees and ____ face to face with the elusive red leaf monkeys.
Answer is "come". Our answer is "came". -
Came is correct. You cannot have "heard" (past tense) and "come" (present tense) within the same sentence.
