Can someone here pls help … Can Hdb 1st appointment letter be use for sch registration ?
-
Is there a minimum occupancy requirement for the address that is going to be used for registration? I heard there is but could not find any official related information. I will register my daughter next year and I wonder is it too late for me to shift vicinity of the desired primary school.
Appreciate your input. Thanks. -
Hi
Is renting a room within 1km to my targeted school allow? If yes then comes the 2nd question. If the family currently already have children going to the same targeted school, is there a conflict or is this allow? We do not know each other and a formal tenancy agreement will be signed.
Thanks. -
After P1 registration exercise is over -
Popular schools will churn out computer report, check whether more than 1 family staying in the same identical house ?
If you rent just one bed room and use this address to register less than 1 km from a popular, hot school and the landlord also use the same identical address to do likewise, that is, register his child into the same primary school -
The computer report churned out by the school, will be able to trace & capture both your child’s name (you, being the tenant of this 1 bedroom), and also the child’s name of the landlord, as well.
Both names of pupils, will be thrown out into the exception investigation report listing.
School will start to investigate : what is happening ?
Why so weird : two different families, staying in the same house ?
Computer system is able to track down fishy cases.
School will then call you up (the parent or tenant of one bedroom ), plus also call up the landlord, as well.
Then, both of you have a lot of explanation to do.
If after investigation one of you is fraud, MOE & police will step in.
If one is guilty of cheating after investigation, your child will be transferred out of popular, hot school, plus publish names of the parents centred spread across newspapers. Eg : Straits Times, Channel News Asia, Wan Bao, etc
If parents work in government sector, they will be sacked. -

I was told that it is not allowed to be used in sch registration because technically the flat is still not yours yet. Only from completion onwards. -

Let me double check with my agent to be 100% sure.Porky Pig:

Blissedsher,
For resale properties, as long as you are able to use the completion document to effect an NRIC address change at the police post, you will be able to use the address to register at your school. The school wants to see the NRIC address (not letters) for all resale and completed properties.
S&P agreements can only be used for registration IF yours is an uncompleted property (not TOP yet). -
Hi,
When are we allowed to change our address after P1 registration? I have a noisy neighbour and thinking of moving within 2 km of the school. There was no balloting required within 2 km during the P1 registration. Do you think it will be allowed by MOE?
