All the best for your science P6ers

I hope the parents will not discuss the answers, after the exam. We have to just move on... By knowing the answers what could you do?..
Nothing can be changed. Ignorance is Bliss
I beg to differ. I am impressed how fast the information gets out in this forum. There's even flash-updates between papers 1 and 2. The excitement and hopefulness is palpable. The camaraderie is infectious.
I impressed at the depth and accuracy some parents know the questions. It's as if they were the ones who took the papers.

So long as we don't harp about it and berate the Kid, no harm's done. Some do dwell a little too long on particular questions, kinda like flogging a dead horse ( kiddo \" all the kids know the answer is 4-apples Ma, why don't you post that? Post the Q , post it-post it.\"Mom- \"Ah ya never mind la, posts coming thick n fast by the time I get to posting after the dishes it's yesterday's news\"), but I'm fine with it. Others give hopeful alternative answers, notwithstanding already \"correct answer by consensus\" already provided. I empathize with their disappointment. Different strokes for dif folks. This is what makes the forum colorful, vibrant and moving at a quick clip.

Oh ya, the collaborative effort in google docs is also impressive, a wonderful, coherent and structured resource.

      Keep it going, guys ....

                  lurline:
ds and his classmates will discuss and compare ans after the paper. There is no stress. They will acknowledge their mistakes and move on. It is always good to know what grades to expect, be mentally prepared. It also helps them to decide whether to accept dsa offer or not, based on their actual paper performance.

Those who want to know will browse and check, those who don't want to know will avoid it.

                  Just my humble opinion
Same for DD and her classmates too. They will discuss their answers and if some get different ans, they will even check and compare.

There is no element of stress. Instead, her classmates and DD would comment .... That's a tricky one for this Eng qn or what a silly mistake I made for this Math qn...I could have used this method instead.

It is a good for the child to know what to look out for and beef up for his or her next paper too. It gives me a good rough gauge on my child's performance. Even though DD has lost some marks for both her Math & Eng paper, she is ok with it.

One 2013 P6 parent shared with me that his DS kept saying the papers were easy and he raised the expectation thinking his boy could perform well with >250. In the end, he gotten 243.

With this yr Math and Eng papers deemed as easy and yet tricky, I would not want to raise too high an expectation. To me, this sharing on checking ans comes helpful.

Same here. Got worried. The discussion was on Science. I check the time table to confirm it is CL today after sending DS to school.
