Can anyone like to share if TJC have normal Chinese Class for Sec 1 onwards?

Per my understanding, TJC being an IP school will require all students to attend higher chinese.

There is no requirement that students in IP schools must do HCL. It's up to the individual schools to set their own requirements.

As the intake in TJC is small, so far based on understanding only HCL is offered to their year1.

All IP students are required to take only HCL. That’s what I heard from my dd. she is now in year2. Hope it helps.

had checked with Temasek JC.

TJC confirmed that no more Triple Sciences (chemistry, biology, physics), in preparing A level at Year (5 and 6).

maximium only allow 2 Science subjects.

TJC tag Chemistry along, with either Bio or Physics
offer (Chemistry, Bio) OR (Chemistry, Physics) combination
but not (Bio, Physics) combination

may hear reply, from Temasek JC -
\"for \"A\" level, most students will start with 4 H2 subjects.

under the requirements of the GCE \"A\" level curriculum –
all subject combination(s) must include 1 contrasting subject , taken at either H1 or H2 level.

students under the Science stream -
will have to choose a contrasting subject such as Economics, History, Geography, Literature, etc and vice versa.

hence, the subject combination of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, (BCPM Triple Science), is not allowed, in any SG JCs, since 2007 MOE implementation changes.\"
