In fact when MOE first announced the join of these 3 schools, some were thinking~ SNG & CHS both are Catholic School like brothers & sisters from one family,sounded logic.
But why SCGS ?
last time considered the idea of merging SCGS girls, with St Joseph boys.
in the end did not turn out, because SJI -
- background also Catholic Brethren, ideally: their partner to consider \"marriage\" (not just match academically) preferably, also originate from the same religious background.
- in the end SJI select the IB path, not A level
(choose a different route, from SCGS)
More choices (of girls) for CHS boys ??

Catholic High boys should be happy : since they now have more choices of girls, to be their girl friend
(this new "College by the Park" (sounds elegant & classy) is near Bishan Park, good place for "par-toh")
at this new JC : not just study, study only hor … plenty of opportunities exist.
boys : can be on look-out, for potential future wife
girls : can look-out, for potential future eligible husband -
For the new JC, the first 4 years would still be spent in the respective secondary schools and only the last 2 years spent in the new JC. It is only IP in name.
Alternatively, CJC could be tweaked to offer IP programmes not unlike TJC or NJC.
By the way, Bishan is a good location, don’t forget that RI is just next door and who knows, SCGS girls may be be much sought after by RI boys. More choices indeed. -
