I heard current RVHS Principal was former Principal of Hwa Chong JC. They look more academic inclined than DHS

The current RV principal was former Chinese High School's principal, not Hwa Chong JC. Because Chinese High was merging with Hwa Chong JC, he was posted out to become Jurong JC's principal.

Dunman High’s results are very outstanding considering the fact that this is only the 2nd batch of graduates. 🙂

And Dr Foo rocks. everything is going on fine. It’s just that he has a few flaws in his english pronunciation and grammar. And his chinese is excellent. no one is perfect and i think he is an excellent principal and friend. 🙂

and also, do not criticize or laugh at others unless YOU ARE BETTER. (no offence) 🙂

              pi.ratewater:
In 2008, I had no idea what Mr Tiah was rambling about on Inorganic Chemistry from the beginning of the Olympiad training. He himself was an Inorganic chemist and an ex-participant in the Olympiad and yet had no genuine interest in getting us ready for the competition. It was a total waste of time for more than three months. Eventually almost half of the class gave up and left the training. Then shortly before the September holiday, Ms ediSon returned from her leave and took over the training. She threw away the Inorganic Chemistry, and instead taught and drilled us hard on Physical and Organic Chemistry. Her way of teaching made learning chemistry like sipping café latte at Starbuck. It was one of the most profound period of my time in Dunman High. After less than two months of crash course, we went for the Singapore Chemistry Olmypiad organized by NUS, and out of total 8 candidates, we brought home 5 Bronze medals and 2 Merits.

Ms ediSon is truly the best chem. teacher ever and a miracle worker at so many levels.

p.s. National Chemistry Olympiad is for JC students only.
p.s.s. In 2009, other chemistry teachers tried to take over the Olympiad training and dunman high is the only IP school in Singapore that did not win any medals at all in the competition.

Why is the standard of chemistry in dunman high not up to par?

Why is ms ediSon being forced to teach junior high this year?

              Why?

The only weakness I can think of ms ediSon is that despite what happened, ms ediSon never criticized or said anything negative about anyone or anything. She should speak up more and let everyone know what truly happened.
Maybe those students who benefitted from her teaching can organise themselves and \"speak up\" for her by feedback to the school???

You (and I mean you as in the ONE person behind your three nicknames) had better stop this trolling nonsense that you started at STOMP forum. I don’t know what personal agenda that you have against the school that made you defame the teachers and DHS. But what you are doing now is nothing short of cowardly.

i have read the stomp forum regarding defaming of a DHS teacher sometime ago before it was being removed,
and i was told by a reliable source that it was a personal attack. the whole issue was then brought to the attention of the moe/police.

(no wonder the wordings seem familiar)

Hi Augmum, is your reliable source a current teacher in DHS? It makes me mad to read all the lies spouted on stomp…at one time the troll created about 9 to 10 nicknames to create the impression that there were mass dissatisfaction with a particular teacher and the school.

If the troll isn’t from DHS, it has to be someone from a rival school.
