My son got into Catholic high too. Selected O level despite his score able to get in IP.

      Hi RDPD..

May I ask why your boy prefers CHS O Level to CHS IP ?

The main reason is ''choice''. With IP, a student can only opt to go to JC. I want to give my son the freedom to choose as the years goes by. Armed with an O level cert. He can choose to go to any JC (if he score well) or even poly. Some career option is better to have a poly education before entering University study......I don't want my son to be restricted to a single option in 4 years time. With O level track, he can still move to IP in sec 3 if he really want IP so much.....of course he must work hard to get it again.....so again...freedom of choice is the main reason...IP is like an advance ticket to JC but I don't think we need that..all it takes is for him to perform well in his secondary education....IP may sound very ''atas''...but weighing the pros and cons...we still opted for O level.
Thank You for your reply, RDPD..

      I understand better now.. πŸ˜„

The new sec sch shirts come with UN-detachable buttons (like the new pri sch shirts). And I bought 2 new packs of buttons from the school bookshop, just recently..

Does Bibi & Baba still sell the old sec sch shirts without buttons ?

I believe they should. We bought the shirt without buttons from the shop in Orchard last Sat. Then exchange for the buttons-sewn-on ones today at the school.
