Waaaaaaooooo it's going to be 2nd Jan in like 1.5 days ... why so fasssttt 😢

So \"seasoned\" parents from p2 & p3 ... any insights about what parents get to do on first day? Are we allowed to \"hang around\"? Do we get to teach the noobs how to buy food?

Feeling like it's our first day instead! :faint:

And if we don't \"chat\" again anytime today ... Happy 2015 to everyone! 😄

PS: Suppose they'll be emailing us all our unique logins & PWs for Snaap? How are the reviews for the app in iTunes? V bad for Playstore.

Not sure about the other seasoned parents.. but my advise is as follows :

      1) Take leave on the first day of school.
      2) Send your child to school and attend the talk/briefing.
      3) Go for a nice brunch with your spouse.
      4) If your child is in student care.. even better. Go catch a movie or something with your spouse. It's a rare chance for you to go on a date with your spouse to start of the new year!!!!!..

hahahahahha.. don't worry about your kids. They will know what to do.. really.. no matter how blur u may think they are.. they will do well on the first day. Teachers will be around.. the older buddies will be around (don't forget the P3 kids started off 2 years ago not having any buddies and they survived!).

      Happy dating!

so first day we can peek at them in class or in school b4 the talks start.

LOL! ... Don't think the daddies will enjoy the date much cos the mommies will be wondering aloud about the kid every 5 mins or so ... :rotflmao: but thanks for the recommendation!

            And bless the buddies!!! :salute:

Good luck to the p1s tomorrow!

Hahahah ... Wish classrooms had webcams that we can log into remotely. Then can peek without distracting them 😆

Btw peeps, sorry if this QN has been answered before … Is it true that school buses will cost the same whether one-way or two?

This was what we were told (by the bus op). When we signed up, we were asked which we needed. If the price was the same regardless, why bother to ask? Should just be default two-way.

We asked around our contacts and was told that this is not usual practise.

                Appreciate additional insights. Thanks.

This morning after I sent my pri 2 big boy to his school, I stayed at the gate for another 5 mins to look at those pri 3 children coming in with the new uniform.

Find the new uniform is quite similar to the casual one that they are wearing. But seeing the uniform is so clean and white now, I can’t helping thinking more scrubbing coming next year.

Clarified at general office (and courtesy of two other parents there) - yes, same charge whether 1 or 2-way. Which I disagree with but will wait and see if other options appear.

Some vendors charge different rates.. but the difference could be like $10 or $20. The reason for the small insignificant difference is that even if your child opts for 1 way.. the bus vendor will still have to use the same size bus and take almost the same route both ways. Hence in terms if cost it is the same regardless. Just like full day and half day childcare.. most places the difference is rather small (not even near half the price for half day childcare).

But i feel the same way ah.. when I opt for transport 2 years ago I felt that it was rudiculoud that I had to pay almost similar to those taking 2-ways.
